Sunriver Resort will be the home of the 2008 JELD-WEN Tradition Golf Tournament at the Crosswater Golf Course. The JELD-WEN tournament is a four-day, 72-hole major championship, preceded by the JELD-WEN Tradition Pro-Am, and NIKE Golf Junior Day. The JELD-WEN Tradition has historically had a very strong field of major champions from the Champions Tour. This year will be no exception as Tom Watson, Tom Kite, Hale Irwin and Jay Hass have committed to play. In addition, three former Masters Champions will be making their debuts this year at the JELD-WEN Tradition. Bernhard Langer, Sandy Lyle, and Ian Woosnam have all committed to coming to Sunriver.

Q. Where can I buy tickets?

A. Tickets may be purchased online, or by calling 1-866-503-2003. You may also buy tickets at participating Umpqua Bank locations and at the Sunriver Resort concierge desk in the Sunriver Lodge or at the gate. For ticket prices, please visit the JELD-WEN tournament website

Q. Once I am at the tournament, what is the best way to see the action?

A. You can either follow a group around the golf course or stay on a particular hole and wait for the groups to come to you. Make sure you pick up a Spectator Guide upon entering the golf tournament so that you can keep track of where each group is on the golf course. A general rule is to allow each group 15 minutes to play a hole.

Q. If it rains, will play continue?

A. Yes, unless there is a threat of lightning in the area. If that is the case, the players will be evacuated and the gallery will be asked to seek cover off the golf course. Watch for weather warnings on the scoreboards.

Q. Will I be able to get autographs?

A. Players are not allowed to sign autographs during a competitive round. Most professionals will sign autographs after play. Please do not bring your memorabilia in backpacks, duffle bags or briefcases. They are not allowed through the main gate.

Q. May I bring a chair?

A. Folding chairs are not permitted, however, you are welcome to bring a golf stool. Golf stools are available for purchase at the merchandise pavilion at Crosswater Golf Club.

Q. May I bring a camera?

A. Cameras are permitted on Tuesday and Wednesday of tournament week, August 12-17, 2008.

Q. May I bring a cell phone/pager?

A. Per PGA TOUR regulations, cell phones and pagers are not permitted at any time. If you are observed using a cell phone, or your cell phone is heard ringing, you will be asked to relinquish it. Your cell phone may be retrieved at the tournament entrance upon your departure.

Q. May I bring a backpack, duffel bag, or cooler?

A. Backpacks, duffel bags and coolers are not allowed on the golf course. You will be asked to return them to your car. A small handbag is allowed.

When you volunteer, you’ll be given a volunteer package that includes many valuable items. Your payment of $80 helps to offset the costs associated with the volunteer package and contributes to our charitable donation. The package includes:

One volunteer badge- (Retail value $120.00) This badge gives you access to tournament grounds and free preferred parking for the entire week.
Volunteer uniform- (Retail value $140.00) Two JELD-WEN Tradition NIKE golf shirts. Shirts feature an athletic-cut style; please choose accordingly. All volunteers are asked to wear khaki/stone shorts or pants.
NIKE Windbreaker- (Retail value $60.00) JELD-WEN Tradition NIKE Golf Windbreaker.
Headwear- (Retail value $15.00) JELD-WEN Tradition hat or visor.
Food and Beverage- Lunch will be provided each day by the tournament. Volunteer headquarters will also have pastries, snacks, coffee, and other beverages available each day.
Volunteer Party- Each volunteer will receive an invitation to the Volunteer Party.
